4th October 2009

Well we did get our overnight rain and it's continuing into the day, water still stable. Rob spent a few minutes on the water this morning picked up a nice 31 inch hookbill (18 lb +/-) and a smaller female that was fresh run. Saw lots of fish moving, some large salmon.

Rob didn't have a bad run tying into 8 or 9 salmon.

Trouble with fishing records is that you have to try and beat them.

Did you know:

That in the mid 1700's Miramichi Bay was called "Mirimiski" and that the Miramichi River was shown as the "Ristigushi",the same name given the Restigouche, although one was known by the name "Little Ristigushi." The Cains River was called the "Chakodi"
