Miramichi River remains stable, water low, difficult to navigate rapids with outboard motor and lots of ice remaining along most shore lines. The ice has prevented the usual rash of spring fishing with very few boats on the river in this area although reports from the few that are on the water of decent but not great fishing with most being grilse. Reports of very good fishing in Blackville area, large fish.
Very few boats on the water but those that are not experiencing motor problems :) are having good fishing.
With the amount of ice along the shore and snow yet to melt in the woods the river is bound to rise in the coming days.
