The last day of hunting season and our hunters have all gone home. Poor year for deer, the last two winters have been hard on them and not all that many were seen. Only three (3) bucks taken in the area, all within a mile of the cottage. We did have deer around but mostly does with fawns. A number of our hunters did see moose and some of them had to throw sticks at our raccoons to keep them off the deck. Raccoons we have plenty of.
We had a banner year with lots of great clients, a fair number having already booked returns in 2010. We want to thank every one and look forward to our next season.
The cottage is now closed for renovations until 1st May 2010 and we are going to look forward to taking our vacation now :)
